A new home for Simeon Saadik

SIMEON SAADIKThe sales at Simeon continue with the bay stallion Simeon Saadik (Simeon Sadik x MB Sahamenna) being purchased by Nicholas Fry of Najwa Park Endurance Horses.

Nicholas says “I am very proud to have purchased such a quality horse from an exceptional stud. Saadik is a combination of world class pedigree, true balance and type. He is a dream come true, and I thank all at Simeon who helped make this dream come alive.’

With his great height of 15.2hh and his innate athletic ability, it is hoped that Saadik will himself compete in endurance before siring a new generation of winners in the sport.

Simeon Salaeh has been sold

SIMEON SALAEHIt seems as word spreads of the quality of horses being sold at Simeon, many of whom were to be retained, we are saying goodbye to much loved animals every week. Conversely, we are thrilled to welcome new members to the Simeon Family, the latest being Anne-Katrin Liebe who has purchased the exciting chestnut Asfour daughter Simeon Salaeh, from Simeon Sibolet.

Anne-Katrin says “For some time we have been looking for a mare to enter our breeding program at AKL German Riding Ponies where we stand our fabulous stallion Vito Dima. Simeon Salaeh is a beautiful mare with all the qualities we have been looking for. We are amazed by her sensational temperament and brilliant trainability. Her exceptional conformation and expressive movement are second to none. We feel privileged to have this fantastic and sweet natured mare at our training centre and stud.”

Three fillies sold to New Zealand

SIMEON SEFIRAH Well known endurance rider David Marshall of Holly Farm Arabians in New Zealand has acquired three gorgeous bay females from Simeon Stud for his farm to launch the establishment of Al Badi Straight Egyptians. The first to grab his heart was Simeon Sefirah (Mulayh Ibn Maareesa x Simeon Shavit), pictured, a bay maternal sister to Simeon Shifran. It was then suggested that perhaps due to her great height, Simeon Stellar (Mulayh Ibn Maareesa x Simeon Simone) may also suit the farm for both breeding and riding, so Stellar is also on her way to New Zealand. Fulfilling a dream, David then decided to buy the exquisite Simeon Shimona (Anaza Bay Shahh x Simeon Simone)…a rare daughter of Anaza Bay Shahh made available for purchase. After being bred to Immesmerize she will also make her way to New Zealand. David has purchased several horses from Simeon over the years, and we wish him all the best with these lovely young mares.

Simeon Se’ate at Al Naif Stud, Qatar

Se’ate is a Qatar Reserve National Champion Junior Filly. Marion was very impressed with Se’ate’s progeny, including the Qatar Egyptian Event Unanimous Junior Champion Filly Toya Al Naif.

Simeon Segev visits El Galal Arabians

Simeon SegevSimeon Segev (Asfour x Simeon Shuala), owned by Jack Maritz of South Africa recently spent some time at El Galal Arabians, owned by Jaco Koen where he covered some mares.

Jaco write’s “I recently had the privilege to have Simeon Segev stand at my stud for a short while. Jack graciously allowed him to travel to me to cover some mares.

This stallion is phenomenal. He is without a doubt my favorite Arabian Stallion – not just in terms of type, but also temperament. He is such a gentle horse with a huge hart. To me, these aspects are far more important than to breed for current show type, the necks etc that is required today.

I thought I’d share a photo or two of him when he was here – I am no professional photographer, but thought they were worth sharing.”

We thought so too Jaco. Simeon Segev has matured into such a fine stallion that we are so very proud of breeding.

RIP Simeon Shai

Simeon Shai

All at Simeon are deeply saddened by the death of the great stallion Simeon Shai. Sired by Raadin Royal Star from Simeon Safanad, this amazing bay stallion won the titles of Scottsdale, Canadian, US National Champion Stallion and World Champion Stallion at the Salon Du Cheval in Paris, France. A feat that unequalled by another Arabian stallion to date.
